Sitting here watching the Texas A&M basketball game against Baylor. The Aggies are doing about as well as the Razorbacks this year....so not much excitement there. Precious husband gave me a dozen beautiful roses and chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's Day today. He also surprised the Queen's mother with a bouquet of flowers.....quite the gentleman.
Finally healed following the surgery two weeks ago. I know I'll be glad I had it, but surgery is not something I want to go through again.
Prince 1 is doing well at U of A in Architecture. Seems to really have found his passion, and we are thrilled. Planning on him designing our retirement Royal Castle when it's time. Of course it will have to be low to NO maintenance. The King and I just spent a couple of hours trimming the Crepe Myrtle trees in the front yard. As we get older and older these tedious tasks become harder and harder. A condo sounds really great right now!
Prince 2 is in Harriett Arkansas at FSM Winter Chill, the youth retreat. He returns tomorrow and then he and his Dad head to Texas for the Texas A&M vs. Texas game and a College visit to A&M for Prince 2. So hard to believe that it's time for Prince 2 to begin looking into colleges. On the way back Prince 2 will be taking the AIMS Testing in Dallas. This was a wonderful tool for Prince 1 in selecting a major and really confirmed to us that Architecture would be a great field for him. Eager to hear what they say about Prince 2. It will be difficult to find something that involves sports, his passion.
LRCA played Episcopal Collegiate in boys HS Soccer last night. It was a blow-out! LRCA 8 and ECS 0. I understand that LRCA is projected to win State this year....should be a fun year to follow.
Still no job for the Queen....but a promising interview this Wednesday. The King's possibility of a job with the City of Houston has faded. They would like to hire him and design a job they believe would be a good fit...but the longer the job consideration drags out, the less he is interested in pursuing it. We want what God has for us, and it appears that Houston, or at least this job, is not what He wants. The King did PASS the SHRM Exam that he studied months for and put so much time into. I am so proud of him and know that it will be such an asset to any future job possibility.
Enough for today.....Check back soon.......or follow this blog! I would love to hear from you. TRC
