Grand Theft Auto.....not funny anymore!

Oh where do I start on this story......I'm sure some of you won't believe the story I am about to tell, but here goes.

Prince 1 and one of his precious friends....Michael Benjamin were 'hanging out' in a well-lit parking lot on West Markham last Tuesday night about 11:45. They each had their vehicles and were sitting leaning up against them chatting. They chose that parking lot because it was well-lit and right next to a busy gas station/convenience store.

Prince 1 looked up to find a man dressed in all black with a navy bandana over his face walk up behind Michael Benjamin....pointing a gun. Just then a similarly dressed man walked up next to Prince 1 and pressed the end of 'his' gun into the Prince's neck. They demanded all their money and anything else of value. The guys emptied their pockets of cash and one robber held a gun on them while the other pilfered through the Prince's car. The robbers then ordered the guys to get into Michael Benjamin's car.....to which he responded......"it's a standard". Then the robbers ordered the guys into Prince 1's car, one robber driving with Prince in front seat the other in the back with MB. They took off down the road and turned onto a Parkway and drove another mile or so. Then they stopped the car and ordered the Prince and his royal friend out of the car and drove off with it.

The Queen and King received a call from the Prince telling us what happened and finally where they were. We got to them really quickly, but the car was gone and soon the police arrived. Several hours later the police found the car on the side of the Parkway.....had it towed to the Police Crime Bay for fingerprints and searching. The 2 robbers have yet to be found.

Before this happened, the Queen's father fell against a wall causing a large laceration on the back of his head. Being on Plavix, the bleeding did not stop and we went through several bandages over the night time, inbetween going to find the Prince and take care of the Police report. The Queen's father ended up in the ER early the next morning and had staples put in to stop the bleeding. Prince 1 didn't have his book for his summer college course, so slept in. He needed the rest anyway. (Forgot to mention that the Prince's Royal Wisdom Teeth, all four, were cut out 5 days prior to this incident......)

We were finally allowed to pick up the Royal automobile from the Police Storage bay.....to find that the tow truck operator....the night of the incident......damaged the trunk and side panel of the car taking it off the trailer. (As of today they claim they are not going to fix it.....we'll see....Anybody in Little Rock.....don't use Asher Wrecker until we get this worked out.)

Anyway, the Queen's father's head is healing, Prince 1 finished his college summer class today.....the robbers stole his Apple Laptop computer and 2 Ipods.....and his key ring. We had to change the locks on the house because of that one. Later in the day after the incident the Queen's mother gets a call from her hematologist saying her most recent labwork shows a level indicative of cancer......so lung, pelvis, abdomen and bone scans were done Friday. Those were normal, but he is still concerned so a colonoscopy and EGD are indicated and will be scheduled in the next week or so.

You ask why the title "Grand Theft Auto"......well let me tell you. Prince 1 was extremely shaken by the whole incident and said that his whole life has a different perspective now. One of his comments was "I don't think Grand Theft Auto is funny anymore....." I believe the two of them, as well as their loads and loads of friends have a new healthy fear now....and I know that God will use the incident for good in many, many lives. How thankful we are that they guys were not hurt......WOW......John Grisham.....top that! Fondly, QM
