It's difficult to know where to start when you haven't blogged in over 5 months. So much has happened.....I'll just hit the high points and be as brief as a Queen can be. I think....well.....yes, let's do bullet points and see if that keeps things short and sweet.
1-Prince 1 graduated from High School in May....WOW it was exciting. All royal grandparents were on hand for the occasion. Just a few days prior The Royal Castle hosted a dinner party for a few of Prince 1's friends and their parents. It was fabulous....we shared, prayed, cried and built the guys up for their new lives at college. Josh has been so blessed to be surrounded by such a good group of friends.....we thank God for these relationships and pray that they will continue to grow as they enter adulthood.
2-Prince 1 also decided to attend the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville for Architecture. He and the Queen and King went to the U of A for Freshman orientation in June. One of the Queen's friends put it like this....."I think we're throwing our children to the wolves". It was quite an eye opening experience.....but at least Josh wasn't completely surprised. He has his roommate, they have the room, the carpet, the refrigerator and schedule. Moving in in just over a week to start classes the following week. From this date forth we will refer to this as Prince 1 and his Royal Education. TeeHee
3-Prince 2 went to Devils Den State Park in June for Kuzin's Kamp with some of the King's family. They did lots of rock climbing and bike riding and had a fabulous time. I'll see if I can get some photos up to show soon.
4-Prince 2 also began working some this summer for the Video Department at Fellowship. It is fun to have him at work with me and he has proved to be a tremendous help to the department. Earning his own money is not bad either.
5-The King has taken up mountain biking this summer and is really enjoying it. He is amazing and there seems to be no sport or activity that he can't do. So if you are driving around West Little Rock and see an extremely good looking man on a mountain bike with some really tight shorts on....just honk and give the royal salute.....
6-The Queen's mother and father are doing okay. Daddy has been falling quite a bit the last few months. Last month he was admitted to Home Health Hospice Care. This has proven to be such a blessing....a Nurse Assistant comes daily to check on him for an hour....he bathes him, shaves him and takes him for a short walk in the house every once in a while. His strength has gone down hill for the last 4 months quite a bit....Blood Pressure is a problem the last couple of weeks.....but he keeps plugging along and is such a precious husband, father and grandfather.
Huge, HUGE, incident last week....I'll post on it in a little while. QM
