What a weekend!

Regarding the attorney....I finally heard back from the office via email. The email said to call at a certain time...I did and actually talked to a person. Apparently one receptionist answers phones for several offices and had not been doing her job. Anyway, I was asked to email some of the questions and circumstances surrounding my need for an appointment. I did this and over a week later still haven't heard back from the office. I am now going to research and find another Elder care attorney.

The Queen Mother had a small stroke last week. She was taken off of Plavix for a colonoscopy and polyp removal. This caused several TIAs, one sending her to the emergency room. She experienced about an hour of not being able to speak, move her legs or think straight. The symptoms resolved with NO damage. She was quickly put back on Plavix....and then Thursday night began having a huge GI bleed. The King Father (my Daddy) called us at 2:00 in the morning and said Mom was on the floor in the bathroom and he couldn't get her up. The King and I went over to the cottage and found her on the floor surrounded by blood. I was able to wake her up but she was too dizzy and unstable for me to get her up. We called 911 and of course she ended up in the ER and admitted to the hospital. The Royal Physicians feel like this was a one time bleed from a polyp removal made worse by the Plavix. It has not happened again. She did loose enough blood that her hemoglobin dropped to 7.2 and she needed several units of blood over the next 48 hours. She was dismissed this morning and hopefully is on the road to recovery.

HUGE strides were made this hospital visit though. My precious friend Margi found out that they are both qualified for Home Health Care through Medicare. This can last up to 2 or 3 months. This should get us through the home addition process and help them until they are living in the Royal Castle. Then we will hire a Home Health Service to help with their medicines, meals, cleaning and transportation.

The plans for the Royal Castle Addition should be finalized this week and bids will begin coming in. We are ready to get the ball rolling and press on with the addition. More later......The Queen

Oh my! Grateful for her improvement, and the help that is on the horizon. Will remember you and all that to God this week.
Remember to breathe!
