Why would you list your phone number and.....

Okay....Tell me if this would frustrate you as much as it did me. Several weeks ago I was referred to an attorney for Elder Law. We really do need some legal help with my parents affairs as we embark on this phase of their lives....moving in with us. I want to be above board and protect what they have. So a precious friend of mine gives me the name of somebody she has used and was very pleased with. I began calling his office phone that day and never got an answer. Not only was there no answer, but no voice mail or answering machine picked up. I tried again the following day and several times since then...to no avail. I checked on line and this attorney has a wonderful web site with contact information. I emailed the listed email asking if he was still open for business. I still have not received an answer. Am I just crazy or is this a horrible way to run a business?
