Hot July

Can't believe the Arkansas weather. We go from mid 80's to 95 in less than 24 hours. The King and I have been walking around the block several times in the evenings....Scout runs along witb us and Freckles follows behind, acting as if she doesn't care if we see her or not. The other night Scout ran into a neighbors yard after a cat, and the cat didn't particularly care for him and let him know. He's got several deep scratches on his back and hip. We didn't realize that he was hurt that badly until we got home, but on our last two rounds he walked on the other side of the street. He thinks he's so tough.

Next week I will participate in my 30th High School reunion! It's hard to believe that it's been so long since graduating, and when I think of all that has taken place I'm amazed. We are meeting at Dickey Stevens Baseball Park for a Arkansas Traveler's game. I'm looking forward to seeing old friends (old as in long ago, not in age necessarily!)

Still miss my Mom and Dad terribly. It is difficult to look back into the in-law quarters where they lived and not think about how great it was to have them with us. I know time heals, but can't imagine HOW much time will be needed.

Started Twittering, or at least signed up. I forgot that I had signed up in the past, so started a new Twitter account, Margie Brinker. Not sure I can jump into this trendy new technology, but on my Iphone, I'm sure I can do anything or get one of the Princes to help.

Speaking of the Princes.....Prince 1 is working at a local restaurant, Gaucho's Brazilian Restaurant, sometimes making big tips, others not. He got a new used car this last week and seems to really like it. Still dating Lindsey, who happens to be in Florida this week.....The Prince is lost without her. Prince 2 is working at the Pleasant Valley Golf Course and seems to enjoy that too. He went on a mission trip to Guatemala in June and had an aweseome experience! I'll post photos in the next day or so for all to see.
