2009

Oh my....2008 has come and gone and I'm not sure I was ready for 2009. So much changed in '08.....some things I would rather forget. Tree is down, decorations are put away and the Castle is back to normal, that is if the Castle is ever normal. Prince 1 is on his way back to Fayetteville to get ready for the Spring Semester. Prince 2 is getting ready to go back to school, or J-Term. For 2 weeks he will be shadowing the Sports Anchor on KTHV in Little Rock to get a feel for how the business works. Eager to see how much he likes it.

The King is, well you know.....studying. Always learning more and more to further his career. Still no word on the job in Houston. Any day he will be getting a call either asking him to become the City of Houston Assistant HR Director over the Aviation system, all Houston airports-or not. One other person had to be interviewed before the final decision was made. Of course even though he may be offered a job, it would have to be very tempting for him to take it. One way or another though, it has been a great experience for him, having been in the military for 20 years.

The Royal family spent Christmas at home with Arkansas family. Then two days after Christmas drove to Dallas to see the King's side of the family. It was a fun trip, even though it was short. The Queen got her second Architecture lesson from Prince 1. The first I wrote about earlier....Tulsa Oklahoma. This one included the Thanksgiving Chapel in Dallas Texas and 2 museums in Fort Worth Texas. I'll try to post a couple of those photos soon. I'm amazed at what I "DON"T SEE" when I look around.....compared to what he sees or points out to me. Buildings seem to come alive when he tells me about them. Can't wait for my 3rd lesson. More to follow......
