The Royal family grows by 2

Well.....they are in. The Queen's parents are now residing at the Royal Castle. The official move took place Friday the 26th of January. We hired a moving company we have used in the past.....and whom we trust. They did a great job. Majestic was the lead guy....he moved the Queen's parents last time two years ago. He is one of 7 children and yes, Majestic is his given name. His 36th birthday was Friday, move day. We ordered pizza for lunch and to celebrate his birthday. But of course when you are paying by the hour.....we told them they needed to EAT FAST!

2 of the Queen's best friends along with her sister-in-law, Paula and her mother came over during the week to help pack. Oh my goodness.....and to think they moved 2 years ago and we pared down at that time too. Well, we had to pare even more this time. Of course so much of what was in the Cottage was not used and unnecessary.....so it was good to go through it all and get rid of some.

The Queen's sister, "B" drove down from Siloam Springs on Thursday night....packed a few remaining items. So by 9am on Friday morning everything was ready to be put on the truck. When the moving crew showed up to the cottage.....they began loading the truck....with the Queen, her two friends Margi & Linda, her sister and the Queen's parents. So six people in the cottage trying to stay out of the way of the 3 big guys moving us.....well I decided to take Mom and Dad and head for the new pad.....in The Royal Castle. This was all quite confusing to Daddy...but he was such a trooper and is doing well. Neither of them have ever lived in a 'new' home with 'new' everything. It is such a joy to get them into a place where there is lots of light, high ceilings, room to walk around outside.....and just be close to activity. The royal pet....Scout Master Brinker....well he is in heaven. He absolutely loves having Daddy to cuddle up next to and get attention from. He will never be lonely as long as PawPaw is around.

The building saga continues....with many issues still to be resolved. The Queen and her King know one thing for sure.....we will NEVER build a home.....and we will NEVER build a home using a friend. In the past two weeks, every day has brought problem upon problem upon problem. As I was leaving for work one morning I looked in the back yard to see a bonfire going by the guys re-building the deck. I didn't say anything....even though we are smack dab in the middle of the city limits. Anyway, went to work, came home for lunch and found the fire still going.....2 feet high with a semi-strong wind....and NO WORKERS....did you hear that....NO WORKERS. The precious workers had gotten hungry and gone for something to eat.....and left the fire burning in the middle of our back yard...just a few feet from the deck they were building. Now call me picky.....but I thought it somewhat foolish to leave a burning fire in a yard, in the wind and unattended. Needless to say it didn't happen again. Oh, but so much more has.....blinds that were ordered within the time frame needed.....backordered. Dishwasher installed by Metro Builders.....not screwed in. Refrigerator installed by Metro Builders....danced all over the ceramic tile due to not being leveled....then no ice was being made....gave it over 24 hours as requested....well, Metro Builders again didn't install the water line correctly...so the King and B pulled it out, found a crimp in the tubing (not allowing the water to travel up to the ice maker in the freezer), cut off the lower part at the 'crimp site' and reconnected. Well then you have the cabinet fiasco....which I won't go into. Suffice it to say that they are in, they are stained, and they are what I would consider okay. Yes we had to pay $300 over what we should have....I still believe the painters and our builder should pick up that cost.....but neither one will step up to bat. The carpet did arrive on time and was installed beautifully. The cultured marble shower is beautiful. The plumbers....Westlake Plumbing, were given the type of toilet we wanted installed before the 1st of November.....well, it still isn't in. They put in a temporary toilet until it arrives......Why isnt it here? Well nobody knows. The builder doesn't know, the supplier doesn't know, and the Plumbing company itself doesn't know. Maybe when we get to heaven we will find out the answers to so many of these questions.....But for now....they have a toilet. The Plumbers also are not able to get the sink I asked for in the kitchenette. My builder never told me that they couldn't get it, he says the plumbers never told him they couldn't get it....they just showed up with a different sink......Go figure. I guess we are supposed to close our eyes and pretend we don't know what we asked for.

Funny, that's not exactly the way I'm wired. Well I feel like I'm going on and on and I need to go pick up the new additions to our home from their home group meeting. I'll share photos in the next day or so so you can see how it looks. We are truly blessed and God is good......Another chapter in the History of The Royal Castle. TaTa for now.
